About Dr. Ken Richmond

Dr. Ken Richmond is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Richmond Medical Services, PLLC. Dr. Richmond is a board certified psychiatrist by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology with inpatient and outpatient experience in the treatment and care of mental health and substance use disorders. Dr. Richmond is a Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association, and a member of the American Association of Community Psychiatrists.
Dr. Richmond earned his undergraduate degree at Xavier University of Louisiana and his medical degree at George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington D.C. He completed his residency training at the University of Pittsburgh Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic, where he served as Chief Resident. He served in the U.S. Air Force where he provided psychiatric services on the mainland, overseas, and in the combat zone. Realizing early in his medical career that the psychiatric specialty was a natural fit, Dr. Richmond considers it a privilege to help people who are experiencing a mental illness as they work to regain meaningfulness in their lives.
Dr. Richmond is experienced in providing care for various mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, psychotic disorders, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and substance abuse disorders. In his clinical practice, Dr. Richmond finds the opportunity to interact with patients of varying backgrounds extremely rewarding professionally and personally. He launched telepsychiatry services to various geographic locations to offer mental health treatment to adults who have been seeking a psychiatrist that will treat them.
